Terms
Last updated: November 2026
These terms cover your use of EditWithChat (the “app”) and this website. By buying or using the app you agree to them.
Your license
You pay once and get a personal license to use the app on the number of Macs shown at checkout (currently 1), including to make videos for your own business or clients. You can move a license to another Mac by deactivating it in Settings → License. You may not resell, share or publish your license key, or reverse-engineer the license check.
What you need
EditWithChat edits with Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. You bring your own Claude plan or API key, and Anthropic’s terms apply to that use. You also need an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later. Anthropic’s usage limits or pricing can change what editing costs you; that is outside our control.
Your videos
Your footage and the videos you make are yours. They stay on your Mac. You are responsible for having the right to edit and publish the material you use, including reference videos you add to a template (the app copies how a video is edited, not its footage, words or music) and downloads from third-party platforms, which may have their own rules.
Refunds
If the app isn’t for you, email support within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Payments and refunds are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments.
No warranty and limits
AI editing can make mistakes, such as misheard captions or a cut in the wrong place. Always review a video before you publish it. The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid.
Updates and changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes to the terms will be dated here.
